So, got back to Germany the other day and am slowly settling in. The time in America was splendid. The two weeks of tour went smashingly. Thanks to Jason Harrod for driving and playing with me. I'm also very grateful to all you wonderful folks who took photos and filmed us. Always nice to have those memories! And nice to be able to show the unfortunate fans who live too far away from the places I played. There's even more of it to come. Until I manage to get it up here, my facebook sites are the most reliable source. Check here and here.
The other two weeks flew by. Family time in Austin, Texas - it's the place to be!
The shows must go on, as they say, and Tim and I will be playing one in Gera @ Szenario as part of the Geraer Songtage. Can't wait to see y'all!
People, I'm stateside! Jason Harrod and I are out the door on our way to Rochester, NY. Check dates for new shows - added Nashville! Deleted Springfield, unfortunately.
Thanks to everyone who's been writing me. I love to hear from you!
I'll be playing Darmstadt and Karlsruhe this weekend - more details on the "dates" page.
A kind soul at my Magdeburg show a few weeks ago offered to whip up some t-shirts and bags with my logo, and with any luck, I'll have them in time for my shows this weekend. So exciting! I've not made shirts in, oh, way too long to say it here.
Looking forward to all y'all! Tell your friends who live in the area!
New year, new shows. I just put up a bunch of new dates, and even more are in the works as I type. Takin' the Wileyrock to new corners of Germany this year (Meppen, Saarburg/Kastel, even Sylt!), and I'll even be playing three shows with a backing band from Lüneburg, featuring Lars "Plog-to-the-schties" Plogschties on drums, as part of the "1st Class Sessions".
But the big news is the tour in America with the German duo Sea & Air (Daniel Benjamin & Eleni). We've known each other for a long time and just happen to want to tour the states at the same time, so we've joined forces to conquer at least selected parts of the upper left-hand corner (including Canada), plus Texas. Those dates are still coming in, and I'm happy to anounce that a small chunk of the shows will be with my dear friend Jason Harrod.
There's a new video of me singing "Sole Satellite" with Leland P. in cyberspace. It was a one-take live performance in an interesting art installment from the collective T.A.I.B., featured as part of the Bochum Total music festival last summer.
Thanks, guys, for letting us film there! And shout-outs to Chewy, Birdlady and the Mulholland Man for stopping by.
