Something to see & hear

I've finally got my own youtube channel up and running. It's called tesswileymusic (some smarty-pants already has "my" name, apparently). Go check it out, and feel more than free to share in anywhere and everywhere. I'll be adding cozy living room videos of new songs from my upcoming album, so go ahead and subscribe, if you do that sort of thing.

In other news, I'm hosting a living room concert here at my place on January 20th. The performers are Sea & Air and Glückskeksautor. Write me an email if you'd like to come, as it's reservation only. And we won't be able to fit more than 30 people in my apartment, so act fast!

Until then, I wish you all a lovely Christmas with wonderful moments with family and friends.

November shows

Finally playing a few shows again! Really looking forward to it since we'll be presenting songs from the new record. Come out if you can:

12.11. Marburg @ KFZ, Tess & Tim (opening for Phillip Boa and the Voodoo Club)

18.11. Oberursel @ Portstrasse, Tess & Tim (also playing: Claudia Rudek)

19.11. Cologne @ Cafe Lichtung, Tess solo

On November 13th, I'll be singing some songs with Downpilot in Hanau @ Brückenkopf. Lovely songs!

Oh, that sounds nice

Recording went well - the songs sound so great, y'all! I wish I could share some with you already, but we're still working on it. It'll surely be released by next spring at the latest, but I think Santa might be able to whip sumpin' up for Christmas.

New record soon

Just wanted to let y'all know that my band and I are going into the studio in July to record the new T-Wi record. Pressure is a necessity, and when one is one own's boss, then sometimes something as simple as a date can kick one's boot-ay into gear.

It's going to be a proper band record again. Live in da studio, real drums (when not the tea crate), loud guitars (where appropriate). Any special instrument requests? Last record I had a singing saw and a santoor. Lemme know if you've got a hankering for hurdy gurdy or a good ol' daxophone. I'll do what I can to get in touch with Hans Reichel.

So, got back to Germany the other day and am slowly settling in. The time in America was splendid. The two weeks of tour went smashingly. Thanks to Jason Harrod for driving and playing with me. I'm also very grateful to all you wonderful folks who took photos and filmed us. Always nice to have those memories! And nice to be able to show the unfortunate fans who live too far away from the places I played. There's even more of it to come. Until I manage to get it up here, my facebook sites are the most reliable source. Check here and here.

The other two weeks flew by. Family time in Austin, Texas - it's the place to be!

The shows must go on, as they say, and Tim and I will be playing one in Gera @ Szenario as part of the Geraer Songtage. Can't wait to see y'all!
